Western Chassis rear drop components are always a notch ahead of the rest. For starters, the Western guys use 1/4" plate steel on their hangers when even Bell Tech uses only 3/16" thick material. This of course provides greater strength and durability. Furthermore, whenever possible, and in the case of all of their Ford and Dodge hangers and shackle mounts, Western utilizes a 1-piece, laser cut design so that no welds are involved. No welds...no worries...in either fit or durability, which makes it easy for Western to give all their rear kits a limited lifetime guarantee for as long as you own your sport truck! In addition, Western is the only brand that offers adjustable hangers on a number of their designs, including the Chevy's new 99+ C-1500, old 73-91 C-30, Ford's 97-03 F-150 and 98-04 Ranger, as well as Dodge's 94-01 Ram and 97-04 Dakota. Western's shackles all are adjustable for 1" or 2", and are likewise equipped with high-quality black urethane bushings. Another Western advantage exists in their heavy-duty 1/4" thick plate steel c-sections. Heavier and sturdier than other brands, they also utilize a half-moon shaped c-notch which better distributes the frame stress than typical square c-notches you are used to seeing from other manufacturers.

Flip Kits include axle locators, heavy-duty u-bolts, nuts, washers, and 6-hole leaf plates. (Chevy C-3500 1-ton flip kits also include extended-thread leaf center bolts to accomodate the removal of the top overload leaf and spacer plate.)

C-Section Kits include heavy-duty 1/4" plate steel frame reinforcements, grade 8 nuts, bolts, washers, and urethane bump stops. C-section features unique half-moon shaped notch for better distribution of frame stress around the notched area compared to square notches. C-section installation does not require bed removal, as the upper lip of the c-section is bent outward so as to prevent conflict with the bed mounts on top of the frame rails.
